ESports logo

This club made its debut at Parkland Elementary last school year and is open to third, fourth, and fifth graders. This program provides many of the same benefits of traditional sports. Teamwork, communication, strategy, and sportsmanship are learned through organized gaming. For our students, adding an eSports league can only help them further develop the cognitive skills we currently refine during their core instruction. Students who participate in eSports show that they have placed a higher value on a number of social skills, including perseverance, team building, empathy, critical thinking, effort in school, a sense of belonging, school engagement, and school value.
