Parkland Pre-K students recently visited Parkland Elementary for an exciting and memorable experience! During their visit, our future Toreros had the opportunity to meet teachers and staff, explore classrooms, and take a guided tour of the school. This special event helped ease the transition to kindergarten by building familiarity, confidence, and excitement for the upcoming school year. We loved welcoming our newest learners and can’t wait to see them back on campus soon!

We were honored to welcome Mrs. Mary Lou Gonzalez, a respected local dentist, as our Principal for the Day! Mrs. Gonzalez spent time visiting classrooms, engaging with students, and learning about the daily leadership that keeps our school running strong. Her enthusiasm, kindness, and commitment to our community made the day both inspiring and memorable for our students and staff. Thank you, Mrs. Gonzalez, for your support and for making a positive impact on our school!

Ready, set... celebrate! 🏁 It’s Teacher Appreciation Week, May 4-8, 2026. Rev your engines and give a huge shoutout to the amazing educators at Parkland Elementary. Thank you, Torero Teachers, for driving us "On the Road to Success" every single day!

Start your engines for Assistant Principal Week! Parkland Elementary is celebrating the incredible leadership and dedication of Tippy Herrera from April 6-10, 2026. Join us in thanking Ms. Herrera for keeping our Toreros on the track and driving us to victory!

Join us on April 15, 2026, as we celebrate Purple Up! Day in honor of our military-connected students and families. By wearing purple, we show our appreciation for the strength, resilience, and sacrifices these students make as part of military families. Purple represents all branches of the military, reminding us that we stand united in support. We encourage all students and staff to wear purple as we come together to recognize and celebrate our military community!

All library books are due by May 8, 2026. Student Chromebooks will no longer go home on the same date.

Dear Parents,
This is a friendly reminder that school will be closed for Spring Break. We hope you and your family enjoy a safe and restful break! If your child isn't participating in Spring Intersession, they will be off from March 2-16, 2026.
We look forward to seeing all students back at school on Tuesday March 17, 2026.
Thank you!

Show some Valentine’s Day pizzazz by adding pink or red (or both) to your outfit!

National Kindness Week is an annual event, typically in February, that encourages people to perform intentional acts of kindness to spread compassion, improve well-being, and strengthen communities through small gestures like complimenting someone, helping a stranger, or donating to charity. It's a time to promote positive influence and make kindness a standard, often led by organizations like the Random Acts of Kindness Foundation.

Our 5th graders are invited to join us for a fun-filled Valentine’s Day Dance on Friday, February 6, from 5:00–7:00 PM. Cost is $5.00 and student must be accompanied by an adult. Students will enjoy music, dancing, and time with friends in a safe and festive environment. We look forward to celebrating this special evening together! 💕🎶
